Vesu Scorches a Double Win

Vesu’s back-to-back ranking, coupled with the “One to Watch 2026 – Monte Bussan Award” which specifically recognises emerging talent and significant potential, is a clear sign of its unstoppable momentum. Open for less than two years, this Aqua Restaurant Group gem channels pure volcanic energy through its signature “BITE SIP SHARE” philosophy, setting a new benchmark for Hong Kong’s dynamic and ever-evolving dining scene.

The Fire Behind Vesu Pizza Bar
Born from fire and Italian grit, Vesu Pizza Bar takes its name from Mount Vesuvius, the birthplace of pizza, and channels that same explosive energy into every 9-inch Neapolitan it serves. Behind the open kitchen, the handcrafted Neapolis oven blazes as Chef Gewali Bhojraj (Chef Raj) spins classics like the Margherita, Mortazza and Diavola into boundary-pushing creations with flawless technique. Iconic heroes lead the charge, including I’ll Be Bok, a savoury fusion of silky bok choy cream and crispy minced pork with a zesty ginger-vinegar kick, and the Amalfi, which pairs octopus and king prawn with lobster bisque and lime mayo. Think tradition turned up to eleven with a fun, funky tribute to Italian flavour, ignited with pure Hong Kong heat.

Where Hong Kong Meets Napoli
Vesu doesn’t just make pizza, it tells Hong Kong stories through dough. Led by the creative force of Chef Raj, the signature “Vesu World” series kicks open the door to creativity, reimagining local flavour with Neapolitan soul. A celebration of local ingredients on a world-class Italian canvas, every creation pushes all the right boundaries. The Ducky, a headline-grabbing collaboration with its sister restaurant Hutong, swaps out the traditional pancake for Vesu’s iconic crust, layered with homemade roast duck sauce, mozzarella, Chinese cabbage and spring onion. Char Siu, a creative exchange with The Chinese Library, reimagines Hong Kong’s beloved barbecued pork with a drizzle of Manuka honey over tomato, mozzarella and ginger — an edible love letter to the city. Kung Bao Prawn, the latest Hutong x Vesu crossover, packs a punch with kung bao sauce, chilli oil, and mozzarella: rebellious, surprising, and unapologetically Hong Kong. To finish, Pizzamisu flips tradition on its head, reimagined with pizza dough, mascarpone and cocoa powder. Sweet, messy and unforgettable.

Drinks Bring the Drama
At Vesu Pizza Bar, the drinks don’t just complement the food; they steal the spotlight. From zero to full-spirited, every pour drips with attitude and is crafted to suit the moment. The menu is designed for adventure, laid out from the lightest to the boldest ABV, peppered with playful sketches, witty notes and everything you need to find your perfect match. House favourites have plenty of personality. Yuen Yeung reimagines Hong Kong’s iconic coffee-tea blend with Mr Black coffee liqueur, three teas, evaporated milk and a butter biscuit on the side. Tomato Gimlet is Italy in a glass; basil-infused gin and tomato shaken for a crisp, herbaceous kick. And for a 0% moment, Bo Lo Bao keeps things deliciously quirky with pineapple soda and butter foam, tipping its hat to the city’s beloved bun. Vesu delivers creativity, chaos and craft in a glass.
