The North Face 100 Asia-Pacific Series: From Mount Emei to Tropical Rainforests
Deeply committed to discovering local trail running talent, The North Face continues to provide elite-tier gear as the ultimate support for athletes pushing their limits across diverse terrains, embodying the brand’s core philosophy of Never Stop Exploring. This season, a powerhouse lineup of The North Face elite athletes and members of the Summit Running Club Youth Team will join forces to compete in the TNF 100 Asia Pacific Series, the region's most iconic trail running circuit spanning the sacred heights of Mount Emei in Sichuan, the coastal trails of Gangneung in South Korea, and the lush jungles of Khao Yai in Thailand. The journey kicks off on 25-26 April in Sichuan, where elite runners Harmony Lam and Rex Lo will tackle the 50km category against high altitudes and volatile weather, followed by a mid-season expedition to South Korea on 16-17 May featuring both elite and youth members. For the race in Thailand on 27-28 June, veteran athlete Stone Tsang will lead the Youth Team through rugged rainforest trails, demonstrating a cross-generational passing of the torch and a spirit of exploration that continues to expand across the continent.
Beyond Competition: A 400KM Challenge for Conservation
Beyond the competitive arena of the Asia-Pacific circuit, Stone Tsang is launching an extraordinary initiative: completing a 400KM trail running challenge across Mainland China, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong within just four weeks. For Stone, trail running is Never Just A Race but an exploration of the limits of endurance; as such, this feat aims to raise HK$300,000 for the Little Stones Charity Foundation. The journey will be documented into educational films featuring insights from regional conservation experts, which will later be used in screenings, school talks, and eco-tours to promote trail restoration. Through this project, Stone hopes to cultivate empathy and a sense of responsibility for the land within the next generation. By doing so, the spirit of “Never Just a Race” can be transformed into a tangible force for mountain conservation, fulfilling his lifelong commitment to Never Stop Exploring”.
