Diptyque has been cultivating its holistic vision of well-being since 1961, when it was founded by three friends with a passion for art and ancient cultures. This approach from Diptyque revisits gestures handed down from ancient civilizations of Greece and Rome, framing them within a range of natural, nurturing care products complemented by sensorial beauty tools. These care rituals bring the customs of the thermal baths of antiquity into the present. The Diptyque Les Rituels de Soin is a holistic collection that opens an interlude of well-being, promoting a profound reconnection of body and soul. The individual rituals, are rooted in using fragrance, light, and atmosphere to create a nurturing ambiance, inviting the user to enjoy a sensorial interlude at two key points during the day: morning and evening.
The collection marks a major strategic milestone for the Maison, exploring a fresh growth segment to complement personal fragrances, indoor fragrances and decoration, and simultaneously bringing sensorial care ritual accessories and decorative objects to prolong the beauty of the ritual. THE MORNING RITUAL:
Stimulating, Energising, IlluminatingAt dawn, the gesture is infused with light. The ritual begins with the flame of the Le Matin (Morning) Classic Candle: lively vegetable notes awaken the body’s energy, connecting it to the brightness of the new day.
Now it is time for preparation. The touch of the Dry Body Brush awakens the skin, stimulating the micro-circulation and leaving it receptive to further care gestures. The Nurturing Cleansing Gel turns into a fine foam when worked in by hand with the Natural Soft Body Sponge. Its blend of bergamot and sweet almond milk cleanses the body and moisturizes it, for an energizing yet intimate start to the day.
Used once or twice a week, the Invigorating Body Scrub refines the skin's texture with powdered hazelnut shells and rekindles its natural glow. The ritual continues with a moment of well-being: the Comforting Moisturizing Body Lotion envelops the skin in a gentle layer of neroli and linseed oil, and the Perfecting Satin Oil adds a silky shine to skin and hair. The Lip Wax rounds off the ritual, nourishing and brightening the lips.
THE EVENING RITUAL:
Soothing, Relaxing, ComfortingAt nightfall, the ritual becomes refuge. The Le Soir (Evening) Classic Candle diffuses its subdued light and soothing chamomile notes, leaving body and soul receptive to the relaxation to come.
In the shower, the Nurturing Cleansing Gel reprises its purifying role in a slower, more enveloping gesture, accompanied once again by the Natural Soft Body Sponge, which caresses and warms the skin.
The luxurious texture of the Rich Soothing Body Balm promotes the transition to restfulness. Applied in a slow massage, its roasted barley and rose fragrance dispels tension, while the Relaxing Oil-in-Oil nurtures the skin and restores suppleness with its blend of two oils: hazelnut and sweet almond.
